In the June 1st draft, I probably would’ve taken Portis over Barber. Don’t get me wrong, I like all of the Dallas backs…therein lies the problem. Portis is likely to have more carries and thus more productivity than Barber. I live in Dallas and Jerry Jones has constantly been saying that they’re going to try to get Felix Jones more touches. I like Barber’s potential more but I tend to favor Clinton Portis’ opportunity.
Also, I’m not too big on Aaron Rodgers this year. I think that his offensive line is full of “no-namers” and, as a result, Rodgers’ susceptibility to get injured comes into play. With many new starters on the line and 33 year old Chad Clifton coming off of surgery to clean up both knees, I don’t like Rodgers’ chances to finish out the season. He’s been injured each of the past three years and I don’t see any reason to believe that 2009 will be any different.
